The Porthmeor Longboard Classic – long held as a jewel in the crown of Cornish tourism, Porthmeor Beach provides one of the most scenic backdrops to any contest. A relative newcomer on the BLU Tour calendar, the golden sands and azure blue waters of St Ives have delivered small, clean and contestable waves that have tickled the fancy of the more traditional longboard style masters and served up more noserides per hour than any other event to date. Don’t be fooled by the relaxed, summery vibe of this contest – come winter Porthmeor can handle big swell with the best of them and has been the proving ground for some of the UK’s finest surfers. Rapidly becoming a firm favourite of the tour.
The Saunton Longboard Classic – let’s face it, Saunton IS longboarding. Long, playful righthand walls that reel off for hundreds of yards, it’s not hard to see why this beach has been held in such high regard by longboarders of all persuasions from across the UK for YEARS and why it’s home to the Hotdoggers Longboard Surf Club (think the patrons of the Star Wars Cantina but in wetsuits). When it’s small, it’s super fun. When it’s big, it’s a shoulder-destroying paddle-fest that offers longer rides than most and allows you to go through your entire repertoire of moves and leave you with legs burning. Devon knows how they made this one so gooooood.

Returning for the second time after an amazing premier event in 2024. What an amazing beach that can hold all sorts of waves. We cannot wait to get back here. Has to be one of the friendliest places to surf! Last year we had a mix of 3ft and super clean to head high barrels – best to bring the quiver just in case this place really lights up!
